FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Buying or selling on the Costa del Sol, no small print. And if your question isn't here, just ask — we reply the same day.
Can I buy a property in Spain as a foreigner?
Yes. There are no restrictions on foreigners buying property in Spain. You only need an NIE (foreigner's identification number) and a Spanish bank account — formalities we coordinate for you end to end.
What is the NIE and how do I get one?
The NIE is your tax identification number as a foreigner, essential to buy, open a bank account or set up utilities. We help you apply for it, in person or by power of attorney if you're not in Spain.
What are the costs of buying a home?
On top of the price, budget around 10–13% in taxes and fees: transfer tax or VAT depending on resale or new-build, notary, land registry and legal fees. We give you a clear breakdown before every purchase.
Can I get a mortgage as a non-resident?
Yes. Spanish banks lend to non-residents, typically up to 60–70% of the value. We work with trusted banks and brokers to secure you the best terms.
Do you handle new-build as well as resale?
Both. We have access to off-plan new-build developments and a wide resale and rental portfolio across the Costa del Sol. We advise on what best fits your goal.
Can you sell my property?
Yes. We provide a real market valuation, professional photography and exposure on the leading portals, and manage viewings and negotiation through to completion.
What languages do you speak?
We work in Spanish and English, among other languages. We understand what buying abroad involves and guide you in your own language throughout.
Can I view properties remotely?
Absolutely. We arrange live video viewings and send detailed videos and floor plans, so you can make progress before you even travel to the Costa del Sol.
